2 Story Addition with Four Seasons Room and Outdoor Kitchen
Client Objectives
They wanted a space that had an indoor outdoor feel. They love to host and wanted a secondary kitchen to be able to prepare meals. Maximizing the amount of time throughout the year that they could spend in these spaces was important. The client wanted it to feel organic and use natural materials.
Our Solution
We created a design that had a fully functional kitchen and was covered from the elements. The space has a pizza oven, griddle, grill, garbage, fridge & storage. The materials include cedar, natural stone, quartzite counters, & stainless steel appliances. There are two fireplaces, one on each floor. The second floor has floor to ceiling patio doors that slide open creating an indoor outdoor living.
Special Features
You are able to access the second floor four seasons room from the outdoors or the master suite. The four seasons room has three walls of windows filling the space with natural light and the space is also heated and cooled, making it possible to utilize the space all year long. The first floor has large fans for circulation and heaters to keep you warm along with the custom fireplace. You can’t host without music, there is a state of the art speaker system throughout the spaces. The quartzite counters and hand railings on the second floor are all backlit for a custom feel. This space is a host’s dream.
