We hired HTZ to do our kitchen renovation which included changing a full bath to a powder room and reutilizing some of that space for a new mudroom. Client Objectives
To create organizational solutions for all her baking needs. Make the space light and bright. Needed a large pantry option and requested double ovens and a separate microwave drawer. They wanted a large prep space and additional seating. Lastly, to create an option to hide her small appliances.
Our Solution
We created a new layout that included so many organizational options, from spice racks, paper towel rack, drawers under the sink, corners drawers in place of a lazy susan, cookie sheet divider, and perfectly placed drawers and doors throughout. We added additional recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. The scones and island pendants are an additional light source but also an elegant statement piece. The wood tones in the island and hood brought warmth throughout the space with the new crisp white cabinets. We created a large island for prep with additional seating included. Inside the island we placed her new microwave drawer. Within the cabinet layout we also included an appliance garage next to the fridge and a large pantry with pullout shelves.
