Our trees have started to bud, which is crazy for the end of February, but we are not complaining about the warmer weather over here. Some of you may be thinking about outdoor projects, especially if you saw some photos on line that we shared of this project that we recently completed in Brunswick Hills… isn’t she a beauty?!
OUTDOOR PROJECTS
It’s often when spring time hits that we begin dreaming of our new outdoor spaces… and then we want it completed the next month. However, a well designed outdoor entertaining space takes time to bring to life. You don’t want to rush the planning and design phase, then there is material lead time and the time that construction takes. While we are happy to begin designing your dream outdoor space anytime, know that starting the process in spring likely means that it will not be complete and ready to enjoy until late fall (depending on the design and other factors).
Want an outdoor project that is completed and ready to go in spring? Our advice is to start the process by the beginning of fall. Remember that a well executed project is all about the details, so begin dreaming the dream and gathering inspiration and let us know as soon as you are ready to start the design process.
WHY WE ARE THINKING OF THANKSGIVING ALREADY
We often have clients come to us in August or September, as the kids are going back to school, and tell us that they need their kitchen renovated before the holidays. We get it… you’ve gotten through summer and start thinking about the end of the year and realize that it’s your turn to host but your oven is broken and that cabinet door is falling off, and boy wouldn’t it be nice to add a second dishwasher, so you decide to renovate your kitchen.
However, both designing your space, building your cabinets, ordering your materials and properly planning for a renovation that will be executed as efficiently as possible takes time. Since we don’t want to rush it, we recommend that if you want a project that is complete before the holidays, start the process NOW. Trust us, you’ll be glad you did! And all of your family will too as they get to enjoy your beautifully renovated space come the end of the yar.
HTZ CARES: MARCH CHARITY OF THE MONTH
The organization we’ve chosen to support in March is Big Hearted Blooms. BHB is a local charity who’s mission is to deliver joy through recycled flowers. By bringing bouquets and personal moments of connection, they boost the emotional health of those facing a variety of life challenges.
Volunteers pick up flowers, arrange them, and also deliver them to nursing homes and others in need.
The HTZ Team is excited to have a day set aside where our employees will go and volunteer at Big Hearted Blooms on March 8.
We are also going to do a donation drive to further support BHB. In the month of March, drop off any used vases or even mason jars at our office. As many vases are dropped of (or shipped to us!), we will purchase that many vases to donate to Big Hearted Blooms. Or, make a financial contribution to BHB and email proof of your donation to [email protected]. We will match donations made in the month of March up to $2,000.
